Border Region Respiratory Disease Surveillanceāā
The Office of Binational Border Health monitors virologic and syndromic surveillance data for respiratory diseases from sentinel
sites in the southern border region of California.ā These sentinel sites are located in San
Diego County, Imperial County, and some parts of Riverside County, and report data on SARS-CoV-2 (virus that causes COVID-19), influenza (flu), Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV), and other respiratory diseases. This data is summarized and incorporated into the
statewide Respiratory Virus Reportā.
